Excitement of Capturing the Kingfisher

"yes.. finally I got mine... " Same words clicked my mind when I got my first Kingfisher shot.... from along time I wanted to capture Kingfisher but I never got even a single change to sight it... so clicking it was always a different story for me .. :(

I never knew that I was going to be lucky on our way to Sravanbelgola... We three me, Prashant and Abdulla were on our Karnataka Heritage tour (actually It was more of covering the heritage site... from photographers point of view).... I was driving thru some village.. there were lots of trees on the roadside and we just crossed some lake few mins back.... suddenly I saw some bright blue color bird landing on one of the roadside trees.... I told Prashant and Abdulla "Hey.. I spotted a kingfisher.. :)" Instantly I pushed the brakes, pulled the car to road side and rushed towards the Kingfisher.. Luckily it was sitting on same tree.. having its catch.. :D

Man I said.. now I have my own version of Kingfisher... I always love Kingfisher.. its a beautiful.. cute birdie... so colorful ... so bright... I was very satisfied with my fisrt every shot of this White Throated Kingfisher(Halcyon smyrnensis).

Proud to be an Indian....

Some time back I visited Lalbagh to attend some photo walk and took this pic near lalbagh lake... I was trying to click some of the lotus when these two kids came to me and asked me to take their pic... I showed them their pic and they were like very happy seeing it.... I felt very happy seeing their sweet smile.. :-)

after going home when I was going thur all the pics.. I don't know why this pic got my attention.... these two kids.. with lot of hopes and dreams in their eyes.. sometimes it makes me think that what we have given back to our society... we all talk about child labour and their rights.. but most of us never bothered to stop these things.. we see them working at some dabba's and chai wala's but still neglect them coz we are now used to see them working like that...

Like our own kids these kids also have some dreams and hopes (maybe some of them will be having a true potential also) to achieve something in their life.. but just because some of them are not been able to go to some schools or not having access to education ruins their hopes and dreams...

we all are some of the lucky people who got good education and now having a good job... but one day ask a question to yourself sitting alone... "How I have helped my society with my eduction and resources to make it better....???" why cant be get aligned to some NGO's or do some social work just to help all these kids... If we want to become a great Nation its our job to make it... Any country is great by its citizens and not by its own... :)

so come on and help these kids to gain education so that they can contribute building a great India... if you can just go out and get involved with some NGO's... you can tell them that I want to tech some kids on weekends.. and I am sure that they will show you the way... if you dont wanna take part in their activities.. you can donate them some books.. food... cloths... or even money.. but make sure whatever your are giving them is been utilized of the good cause... you can ask them that you would like to visit them.. and wanna see the work that they are doing...

its time to do something rather then just sitting and talking about it... I myself getting involved with CRY - Child Rights and You .....

Now its your turn to "STAND FOR CHILD RIGHTS"
